About This Farm
Wilkens Fruit and Fir Farm at Yorktown Heights is celebrating its 110th harvest in 2026, and it is an hour north of Manhattan with a season running from August to mid-December.
What You Can Pick
- Peaches - from 22 August
- Apples - from the beginning of September
- Pumpkins - from October
- Christmas trees - choose-and-cut, just after Thanksgiving
What Else is Available
Three farm markets selling own-pressed apple cider, freshly baked pies, famous apple cider doughnuts and gifts. A corn maze and a winery.
Good to Know
Open Wednesdays to Mondays from late August through mid-December. Closed Tuesdays.
Picking is 10am to 4:30pm, and 4:30pm is the last entry: the fields close thirty minutes later. Markets run to 5pm.

Pro tip: four months of continuous picking from peaches to Christmas trees is rare, and it means this farm rewards a season ticket mentality rather than a single visit. The August peaches are the least crowded thing it does.
