Cedar Heights Orchards at Rhinebeck is a one-woman family orchard with heirloom trees, and its opening hours are the most honest in the region: "Open daily 10-5 while apples last."
Apples, including heirloom trees and named varieties: Galas, Cortlands, Jonamacs, Empires, Macoun, Red Delicious, Liberty, Gold Rush and Baldwin.
Cash or Venmo only. No card payments.
Phone 845.876.3231. The orchard signs off its site personally: "I look forward to seeing you next fall at our family orchard. ~Arvia".
Pro tip: Gold Rush and Baldwin are late keepers that hardly anybody grows for picking any more, and Liberty is a scab-resistant variety that rarely needs spraying. This is a varietal orchard, not a day out, and worth it for that.
Not available here: EFTPOS.
We list what we have confirmed. If something you need is not shown, it is worth calling the farm to check.
Our own assessment, scored the same way for every farm on the site, from what each farm publishes about itself. Not a visit, and not a public review score.
From the orchard, daily, "while apples last". The season is short and ends when the fruit does.
