Wickham's Fruit Farm

Wickham's Fruit Farm at Cutchogue grows fruit on some of the oldest continually cultivated land in the country, much of it dating from 1661. It is 300 acres on Peconic Bay, 200 of them in fruit.

What You Can Pick

At the time of checking: peaches and berries, on Saturdays. The farm also grows sweet corn and sunflowers.

What Else is Available

A farmstand selling baked goods and doughnuts, cheeses, pies and preserves, and an old cider press still on site.

Good to Know

The farmstand opens Monday to Saturday, 9am to 5pm, and is closed Sundays, along with Thanksgiving and Christmas. The retail market runs May through December.

Picking is 10am to 3pm, five hours, and at the time of checking Saturdays only.

School groups can book weekday tours, see a live working beehive and, when possible, watch the historic cider press.

Pro tip: a Sunday closure on a Long Island fruit farm in August is the giveaway that this is a working farm rather than a weekend destination. It also means Saturday is very busy, and Saturday is the picking day.
