Harvest Moon Farm and Orchard at North Salem opens its farm store every day of the year, 9am to 5pm, and runs its picking in named weekends rather than open seasons.
What You Can Pick
Peaches, on the weekend of 22 and 23 August. Apples follow in the autumn.
What Else is Available
A farm store, a café open 9am to 3pm, wood-fired pizza at events, soft-serve ice cream and a Kids Harvest Train.
Good to Know
Dogs are no longer allowed, service animals excepted, under Department of Agriculture guidance. This is a recent change.
Pro tip: weekend-by-weekend picking means the fruit gets picked at its best and the field never gets stripped. It also means a wasted drive if you go on a Tuesday, so check which weekend is on before you leave.
