Eastmont Orchards at Colts Neck has had its year cut down to five and a half weeks, and it says so plainly: "We will be CLOSED for peaches this year."
Pumpkins, and in the orchard's own words that is the extent of the 2026 season: "We will be OPEN (Friday, Saturday & Sunday) starting 9/18/26 through 10/25/26 and Columbus Day, weather permitting, for Pumpkins and other family fun activities."
The orchard is currently "closed for July & August".
In an ordinary year this is a varietal orchard of real depth. Its own calendar names Honeycrisp and McIntosh in early September; Cameo, Cortland, Crispin, Empire, Golden Delicious, Idared, Jonathan, McCoun, Red Delicious and Spartan from mid September to mid October; and Arkansas Black, Braeburn, Fuji, Granny Smith, Red Rome, Stayman Winesap and Yellow Newtown Pippin from mid October to close.
Its peaches run to eighteen named varieties across three months.
Farm hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 4:30pm and weekends 9am to 5:30pm, "subject to change due to weather & supply".
The orchard asks, repeatedly, that you call ahead on (732) 542-5404.
Pro tip: seven named apple varieties in the last fortnight of the season is a serious orchard hiding behind a pumpkin patch. Worth marking down for 2027.
