The Blueberry Farm

The Blueberry Farm at LaFayette, in the far north western corner of the state, runs the longest picking day in this region: seven in the morning until eight at night, every day except Wednesday. Its own line is the plainest on this list: "Our farm is a U-pick farm and welcomes everyone!"

What You Can Pick

• Rabbiteye blueberries - around a thousand plants across several varieties, July into August
• Muscadines - September to October

Everything is sold by the gallon and the farm provides the containers, so there is nothing to bring. The current price goes on its Facebook page rather than its website.

What Else is Available

A better-equipped field than most, and the farm lists it in full:

• Restroom and hand washing station
• Drinking water
• Picnic tables, a swing and lawn chairs for resting

Good to Know

Closed Wednesdays, and closed outside the season.

Pro tip: a thirteen hour picking day means you can arrive at seven in the morning or seven in the evening and miss the heat entirely. Very few Georgia farms offer that choice.
