Jaemor Farms

Jaemor Farms is a north Georgia institution on Highway 365 at Alto, open seven days a week and from seven in the morning on weekdays, which is early enough to pick before the heat arrives.

What You Can Pick

• Strawberries and tulips - spring
• Peaches, blackberries and flowers - summer
• Pumpkins - autumn, with a corn maze alongside

What It Costs

• Strawberries - $16 a gallon bucket, plus tax
• Peaches - $25 a peck container, or two pecks for $40, plus tax

Admission is charged separately for all on-farm experiences and is not included in those prices. The farm does not publish the figure, so ask when you ring.

What Else is Available

The market, eatery and bakery are why a great many people stop here even when nothing is being picked. The fried pies are locally famous and sell out.

Good to Know

Open Monday to Saturday 7am to 6pm, and Sunday from 12:30pm, which is a later start than the rest of the week. The farm announces its picking by season rather than by date, so the market hours are the reliable ones.

Pro tip: those weekday seven o'clock openings are the best hour of the day here in July, and the car park is empty.
