Oakhurst Farm sits on the Alabama line at West Point, on ground the same family has worked for over a hundred years, and it is a Georgia Grown producer. It publishes its prices, which is rarer in this state than it should be.
Berry picking runs Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, 9am to noon. Three mornings a week and nothing else, so the day matters as much as the season.
From September 27 to October 31 the farm turns over to Fall Daze:
Field trips, church groups and special events are welcome, and there is an eight thousand square foot venue on the same ground.
The farm runs two websites. The weddings one never mentions picking at all, and searching the farm's name often lands you there first, so go to the produce site or ring 706-615-2081.
Pro tip: a nine-to-noon window three days a week means the fruit gets picked over fast. Tuesday morning after a weekend closure is the best of the three.
We list what we have confirmed. If something you need is not shown, it is worth calling the farm to check.
Our own assessment, scored the same way for every farm on the site, from what each farm publishes about itself. Not a visit, and not a public review score.
Berry season hours, three mornings a week. Fall Daze from September 27 to October 31 runs on a different schedule.
