Beaver Farms on Beaver Farm Road at Statesville is a working beef and produce farm that opens its strawberry field to the public in spring, and it is worth being clear about what that means: the strawberries and the sunflowers are the pick-your-own. Everything else the farm sells, including its blackberries and pumpkins, comes already picked.
Strawberries, from late April through the month of May.
Farm beef, sweet corn, watermelon, cantaloupe, blackberries and pumpkins, all pre-picked. There is also a sunflower maze in late summer.
No admission fee, and the farm provides the picking containers, so there is nothing to bring and nothing to pay before you start.
Pro tip: this is a late-April to end-of-May window and nothing more. Statesville has no other strawberry field this close to town, so if the last week of May has passed, you have missed it for the year.
We list what we have confirmed. If something you need is not shown, it is worth calling the farm to check.
Our own assessment, scored the same way for every farm on the site, from what each farm publishes about itself. Not a visit, and not a public review score.
