Grange Fruit Farm on 13 Mile Road at Rockford has one of the widest picking lists in West Michigan and is among the cheapest anywhere on this site. It publishes its prices, which most of its neighbours do not.
The season runs early July to the middle of August.
Open 9am to 6pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 2pm Saturday, closed Sundays. The detail that catches people out: u-pick closes an hour before the market does, so the last picking is 5pm on a weekday and 1pm on a Saturday.
Cash or cards, with a 3 per cent fee on credit. The market carries honey, jams and salsas alongside the produce.
Pro tip: Montmorency is the tart cherry the whole Michigan pie industry is built on, and this is one of very few places anyone lets you pick it yourself.
We list what we have confirmed. If something you need is not shown, it is worth calling the farm to check.
Our own assessment, scored the same way for every farm on the site, from what each farm publishes about itself. Not a visit, and not a public review score.
