This season

Bethke Farms is a pumpkin farm at Grand Haven, on the lake shore forty minutes west of the city, and it prices the way a farm should: no charge to walk in, and pumpkins by the pound.
Pumpkins, from small ones up to monsters of a hundred pounds and more, plus gourds and mini-pumpkins. 50 cents a pound, from the vine.
Open September 26 to October 30.
Weekdays are afternoons only, 4pm to 7pm Monday to Thursday, opening properly at 10am Friday to Sunday.
Cash, cheques and all major cards. The farm says personal cheques are gladly accepted, which is a rarer sentence every year.
Pro tip: fifty cents a pound with free entry makes a hundred-pound pumpkin fifty dollars and a small one about two. Take a trailer or take a toddler, but decide before you get to the field.
We list what we have confirmed. If something you need is not shown, it is worth calling the farm to check.
Our own assessment, scored the same way for every farm on the site, from what each farm publishes about itself. Not a visit, and not a public review score.
