Hanson's Farm at Framingham is the closest picking farm to Boston itself, and it picks the crop almost nobody else in this region offers: blackberries.
Sweet corn, tomatoes, squashes, aubergines and peppers from the stand, a corn maze, sunflower fields, food tents, a beer and wine garden, an ice cream bus and hayrides.
Open May to October, 9am to 6pm Monday to Saturday and 9am to 5:30pm on Sunday. The fall festival starts in September with dates announced closer to the time.
Pro tip: twenty miles from the city and picking blackberries is an unusual combination. Most of what is close to Boston is apples in October; this is a July and August farm and much quieter for it.

Our own assessment, scored the same way for every farm on the site, from what each farm publishes about itself. Not a visit, and not a public review score.
