Brooksby Farm at Peabody is a town-owned farm, which is why its play yard is open during business hours at no charge and its November story hour is free too.
Apples, peaches, blueberries, raspberries and cherries, in the farm's own words "PYO fruits when in season". Watermelon is grown here too.
A picnic and play area, barnyard animals, a farm store, and campfire areas for s'mores.
Open Tuesday to Saturday, 9am to 4pm, closed Sunday and Monday.
The play yard is free, and so is the story hour on Sundays in November.
Pro tip: a farm five miles from the sea, owned by the town, with a free play yard, is an unusual thing this close to Boston. If you have small children and no intention of picking much, that is reason enough to come.
We list what we have confirmed. If something you need is not shown, it is worth calling the farm to check.
Our own assessment, scored the same way for every farm on the site, from what each farm publishes about itself. Not a visit, and not a public review score.
From the farm: "Open for the season Tuesday to Saturday 9am - 4pm."
