Kuipers Family Farm at Maple Park opens its fall season on 22 August and pairs the apple picking with something few orchards offer: cut-your-own fall flowers.
An orchard shop and bakery with a sample kitchen, which is the farm's own name for it and is exactly what it sounds like.
The farm publishes no hours and no prices on its own site. Its old youpickfun.com address now redirects to kuipersfamilyfarm.com.
Pro tip: 22 August is early for an Illinois apple, which means the first weeks are the early varieties: soft, sharp and gone by the end of September. The Honeycrisp crowd arrives in October.
We list what we have confirmed. If something you need is not shown, it is worth calling the farm to check.
Our own assessment, scored the same way for every farm on the site, from what each farm publishes about itself. Not a visit, and not a public review score.
