About This Farm
Fritts Berry Farm at DeMotte opens on 1 July and keeps eleven-hour weekdays, seven in the morning until six at night, which is the longest blueberry day in this region.
What You Can Pick
Blueberries. The farm is expanding into jams, jellies, syrup and honey for coming seasons.
Good to Know
Open 7am to 6pm Monday to Friday and 7am to 3pm on Saturday.
Cash or cheque only, and you bring your own containers. Both are the farm's own rules and both are worth knowing before the drive out from Chicago.
Pro tip: a seven o'clock start in an Indiana July is not a formality. Blueberries pick cleanest before the sun is on them, and this farm is one of very few that opens early enough for you to do it properly.
